Until three years ago, our stewardship campaign was always in the fall. The pledges received were input (although not always reliable) to our budget process for the following year.
Three years ago, our stewardship campaign moved to February. I beleive that there were several reasons for the move; one was to move the camapign away from the Christmas season and all of the other appeals that our members are subjected to, another was to divorce the stewardship campaign from the budget process.
When do others conduct their stewardship campaigns and what are the reasons for that timing?
